THE ICONIC 101 ON DISPLAY IN SAO PAULO AT THE NATIONAL MUSEUM
This week the Tomie Ohtake Institute in collaboration with the Embassy of Denmark, Danish Agency for Culture and Design Museum of Denmark, brings to Brazil the exhibition - 'Danish Design: Masters and Icons’. Curated by the director of the Danish Design Museum, Lars Dybdahl, the exhibition summarizes danish design history through 50 objects, among those our original 101 t-shirt designed by Jørgen Nørgaard.
The exhibition presents a strong representation of Danish design classics from several decades, portrayed in 50 carefully selected works from designers such as Kaare Klint, Poul Henningsen and Arne Jacobsen. The mission is to support and expand the growing interest in Brazil for Danish design through an attractive manifestation and simultaneously introduce the unique Danish design culture to Brazil. In the press release from the Danish Board of Culture the director of the Tomie Ohtake Inststitue says 'Danish design reveals a human presence in the production - from curved and organic shapes to the use of experimental new material compositions’.
We are truly proud and honored to be among the selected few.
