How did this collaboration come up with Mads Nørgaard?
The collab came up because my former boss introduced me to Mads and he was looking for a young upcoming photographer for a project. So, he reached out and invited me for a coffee to talk about the project.
What is the collab about? Is there any meaning behind it?
The collab is my point of view on cool Copenhagen, edgy, playfulness, and how I translate that into images.
Describe the polaroids
One of the Polaroids is taken at Nørrebro one night. I took it with a camera I got from my mom. Unfortunately, I broke that camera that night so that is the only image from that night and is special to me. The other is a picture of my lips that I took in my living room. It took me around 10 minutes but it's still one of my favorite photographies ever.
How was the process of making these polaroids into clothing?
The process of making this was quite interesting cause first, it was an honor that Mads was recognizing my work. And second it was just really interesting to work with really creative people to narrow down the three best images.
What inspired you to become a photographer?
The reason why I became a photographer was the urge to create. As a creative that’s something you have inside – and you cannot not do it.
How would you describe your photographic style?
I guess the best way to explain my style is if fashion photography and documentary photography got a kid. The thing that keeps repeating in my images is the composition and how I use the environment around me. Also, if you look closer at my polaroids, you can spot that my signature is a bite mark.
What advice would you give to aspiring photographers looking to break into the industry?
My advice to upcoming photographers would be to get your own style and stay true to that.
