Our collections are centered on core classics that remain year after year. We believe in having a responsible relationship with our wardrobe. Buy what you like, treat it well, and repair it when it breaks. We believe the more a garment is worn, the better it looks. The best part is just before it falls apart.
We have introduced a policy to encourage you to hold on to your #101 t-shirt for as long as possible: if you have a #101 that is over twenty years old, we will swap it for a new one – we won't ask to see the receipt. We get to keep the old one – we love the wear and tear, seeing how the colours fade and the yarn behaves over the years.
Make it last
We strive to make clothes that last. You can make your clothes last longer and reduce their environmental impact by considering the 4 X Rs:
Reuse, Repair, Repurpose, Recycle
Can it be reused by being put to another purpose?
Can you repair it instead of replacing it?
Can you turn your worn-out pants with holes in the knees into shorts instead?
Can somebody else use it when it no longer fits?
Please recycle it responsibly if it can no longer be reused, repaired or repurposed.
Care instructions for your clothes and the environment
Only wash when necessary.
Freeze your jeans instead of washing them. It removes the smell and saves energy.
Wash at a low temperature (at 30 degrees or less).
Avoid tumble drying.
Iron less.
Fill up your washing machine as much as possible. It is more energy efficient, and it reduces friction when you wash polyester, leading to less microplastic pollution.
